Our First Friendsgiving: Planning, Prepping & Pinterest

My husband and I successfully hosted our first friendsgiving on Thursday. I was nervous as can be because never have I ever roasted a turkey in my entire existence. Yet, with much preparation and sprinkles of love, I managed to roast a beautiful 20-pound bird for about 15 people! Keep reading to learn how I prepared for our shindig.

Thanksgiving is the one day that pretty much everyone in the country eats the same exact thing. We told our guests to bring a snack, dessert, and/or their own drinks, but because I love to entertain and am all about having more than enough food I created this carte du jour…

Friendsgiving Menu

I wasn’t able to make everything I planned on making and baking, but I figured I’d share the menu as inspiration for future events.

Believe it or not, I got all of my recipes from Pinterest. Thanksgiving may be over, but I’m sure you can find an excuse to make one of these delicious foods; I know I will.

Mashed Potatoes

Pumpkin Dip

Mini Apple Pies

Don't mind the messy kitchen. It was Thanksgiving after all.
Smiling from ear to ear because my first turkey came out fabulously.

Cards Against Humanity is the go-to party game among our group of friends. We have yet to buy it, so my husband dusted off his Nintendo Gamecube for some #TBT fun.

I wish my husband and I could have spent Thanksgiving with our families back home. However, I am getting used to the fact that he and I are our own little family creating new traditions together.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving my friends. Thank you so much for reading and joining me on my blogging journey.

Con Amor,
